Aled served as a geography teacher and later a headteacher at Maes Garmon High School, Mold, for twenty years. He is known for the publication 'Canrif o Gân 1881-1998,' released on November 13, 1999, by the Welsh Cerdd Dant Society. He passed away just before his 91st birthday, survived by his wife and four children.
