Aleksey Viktorovich Markovsky is a retired Russian swimmer born on May 17, 1957. He notably won a silver medal in the 4 × 100 m medley relay at the 1980 Summer Olympics, and also competed in the 100 m butterfly, finishing eighth. From 1981 to 1986, he garnered ten medals at World and European Championships, primarily in relay events. He missed the 1984 Summer Olympics due to the Soviet Union's boycott but participated in the Friendship Games. Markovsky graduated from Ural State University of Physical Culture in Chelyabinsk and later served as head coach for the junior Soviet swimming team.
