The youngest of six siblings, he developed a passion for literature influenced by cinema and the works of Yusuf Idris. El-Fiqy published his first story, 'Journey Inside the Ocean', in the early 1980s. Notable works include his novel 'Gates of Flame' (1999) and various short story collections. He has received multiple awards for his contributions to literature and has actively participated in literary conferences across Egypt.
