Alma Vivoda, born Amabile Vivoda, was an Italian partisan and considered the first female partisan to fall during the Italian Resistance. She was active in the anti-fascist movement and became a significant figure in women's involvement in the resistance. Alma organized efforts for the women of Istria and was involved with the clandestine newspaper 'La Nuova Donna'. She was captured in 1943 and died from injuries sustained during her resistance activities. Her legacy continues, with a battalion named after her, symbolizing her contributions to the fight for freedom.
