Alshafi Ahmed Elshikh was a Sudanese activist and a prominent figure in the Sudanese national movement. He was the youngest trade unionist to hold advanced positions in the global workers' union movement. Notably, he was the first trade union worker to be appointed as a minister. He contributed significantly to numerous trade union activities and was known for his courageous activism, with his last act of defiance being when he calmly walked to the gallows, secured the noose around his neck, and shouted, 'Long live the Sudanese people! Long live the working class!'
