Amir Hossein Hoveyda is a chemistry professor at Boston College in the USA. He obtained his Ph.D. from Yale University in 1986 and subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University. Hoveyda served as a Sloan Research Fellow from 1994 to 1996. His research is notable for investigations into asymmetric catalysis and contributions to the development of catalysts for olefin metathesis. He has published works on N-heterocyclic carbene ligands within the field of organometallic catalysis.
