Ann-Charlotte Alverfors was a Swedish writer born on January 23, 1947, in Eksjö and passed away on March 20, 2018. She is best known for her autobiographical trilogy, which inspired a six-episode miniseries titled Sparvöga in 1989. Alverfors published her first poetry collection, Paternosterhissar, in 1972, followed by Jönköping 6 in 1975, and authored the trilogy consisting of Sparvöga, Hjärteblodet, and Snabelros between 1975 and 1977. She was married to professor Arnulf Merker, who died in 2010.
