Anne Vignot is a French politician and the mayor of Besançon, as well as the president of Grand Besançon Métropole. Born on February 28, 1960, in Dole, Jura, she has been a member of the Ecologists. Vignot served as a regional councilor for Franche-Comté from 2010 to 2015 and was the deputy mayor of Besançon from 2014 to 2020. Following the 2020 municipal elections, she made history by becoming the first female mayor of Besançon and the president of Grand Besançon Métropole.
