Aolar Carson Mosely (1912-1999) was an American artist known for her contributions to quilt-making. She was a founding member of the Freedom Quilting Bee and is linked to the renowned Gee's Bend quiltmakers, including her daughter Mary Lee Bendolph and granddaughter Essie Bendolph Pettway. Tragically, almost all her quilts were lost in a house fire in 1984. Aolar's work and legacy continue to be celebrated within the craft of quilting.
