Araks Avetisyan Muradovna, known simply as Araks, was an Armenian Soviet writer and journalist born on December 25, 1903, in Greater Karakilise (now Vanadzor). She studied at the Meriamian-Hovhanian Girls' School in Tbilisi and graduated from Yerevan State University in 1930. Araks contributed significantly to children's literature, with notable works such as "Uşaqlar üçün nağıllar" and "Sehrli təyyarə." She also worked as an editor for the children's magazine "Oktemberik" and various newspapers. Araks passed away on June 15, 1978, in Yerevan.
