Asad Ghanma was a Jordanian military leader born on February 14, 1930, in Al-Husn, northern Jordan. He served as a captain and commander of the 48th Infantry Battalion in the Jordanian Army during the 1967 Arab-Israeli War and the Battle of Karameh. Ghanma was promoted to the rank of brigadier after the war and continued to serve in the Jordanian Armed Forces until his retirement. He is particularly known for his role in the Battle of Samu.
