Atul Harish Chokshi is an Indian materials scientist and metallurgical engineer, born in 1958. He is a professor in the Department of Materials Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science. Chokshi specializes in high temperature deformation and failure of ceramic materials. His recognition includes being an elected fellow of the major Indian science academies: the National Academy of Sciences, Indian Academy of Sciences, and the Indian National Science Academy. In 2003, he received the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology for his significant contributions to Engineering Sciences.
