Azat Alchuchyan was an Armenian Soviet chemist born on February 18, 1906, in Akhaltsikhe and passed away on July 27, 1974, in Yerevan, Armenian SSR, USSR. He earned his Doctor of Chemical Sciences degree in 1958 and became a professor in 1953. Alchuchyan was recognized as an Honored Figure of Science in the Armenian SSR in 1965 for his contributions to the field of chemistry.
