He gained prominence for grinding reflecting telescope mirrors and established the Albireo Amateur Astronomers Club in 1971, which later gained national influence. He also initiated the monthly journal 'ALBIREO' in Kaposvár for amateur observations, which he edited until 1984. His contributions significantly advanced amateur astronomy in Hungary and he played an important role in educating young astronomers.
