Bibhu Padhi, born on January 16, 1951, in Cuttack, Odisha, is an Indian poet, translator, and literary critic who writes in English and Odia. He holds a D.Litt. from Utkal University and has published 17 volumes of poetry in English and 5 in Odia. His works have appeared in prestigious literary magazines around the world and he has authored the novel 'Absences'. Padhi has taught English literature at various colleges and has contributed to anthologies including 'The HarperCollins Book of English Poetry' and 'The Bloodaxe Book of Contemporary Indian Poets'.
