Brian Cassar, known as Casey Jones, was a British singer and guitarist born on March 21, 1936. He led the influential beat group Cass and the Cassanovas in Liverpool, rivaling The Beatles. In later years, he formed Casey Jones and the Engineers, one of Eric Clapton's early bands, and achieved success in Germany with Casey Jones and the Governors. He lived much of his life in Germany and passed away on December 25, 2022. His surname is occasionally misspelled as Casser.
