Bromley Lloyd Armstrong (1926–2018) was a prominent Canadian civil rights leader who significantly contributed to the early civil rights movement in Canada. Arriving in 1947, he became a dedicated union activist, advocating for better conditions for workers. He played a crucial role in promoting equal rights for African-Canadians and participated in sit-ins against racial discrimination in Dresden, Ontario. His efforts led to the enactment of the Fair Employment Practices Act and the Fair Accommodation Practices Act in the 1950s. Armstrong was honored as a Member of the Order of Canada in 1994.
