Francis Lloyd 'Bud' Feltman, born on March 12, 1939, is a former member of the first U.S. Olympic luge team, competing in the 1964 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck. He held the U.S. men's luge record until 2002. Raised in Idaho Falls, he briefly attended Utah State University before serving in the Army, where he formed a luge team. Post-Olympics, he coached the Canadian luge team for the 1968 Winter Olympics and later founded sportswear companies. Feltman now resides in Ecuador and has three daughters and four grandchildren.
