C. P. John, born on 22 April 1957, is an influential Indian politician and the General Secretary of the Communist Marxist Party. He has served as the National executive member of Hind Mazdoor Sabha and was the Vice President of the Students' Federation of India during 1978. John is a key figure in the United Democratic Front, representing their interests and has previously been part of the Kerala State Planning Board. He played a significant role in the formation of the Communist Marxist Party and was elected General Secretary of the Confederation of Indian Communists and Democratic Socialists in 2016.
