Carlos Alberto Rosales Mendoza was a notable Mexican drug lord, born on February 12, 1963, in La Unión, Guerrero. He founded and led the organized crime syndicate La Familia Michoacana in the 1980s. Rosales Mendoza forged alliances with the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas to combat the Milenio Cartel, leading to violent confrontations in western Mexico until 2003. He faced arrests in 2004 and 2014, but was released later that year. His life ended tragically when he was found dead in a parking lot in December 2015.
