Chen Zaidao was a Chinese general in the People's Liberation Army and a politician in the Communist Party of China. He was born on January 24, 1909, in Macheng, Hubei. From 1955 to 1967, he served as the commander of the Wuhan Military Region but was dismissed following the Wuhan Incident. Later rehabilitated, he served as vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference from 1983 to 1988.
