Chōza Sanyūtei (real name: Nobuo Komiya) was a Japanese Rakugo performer born on February 18, 1951. He became a student of the third Sanyūtei En'nosuke in 1980, taking the stage name Enkichi. In 1983, he advanced to the rank of 'Nkuruma' and changed his name to Chōza. Sadly, he passed away from a traffic accident on May 23, 1984, at 33. Known for his strength and love for portable shrines, his funeral attracted many fellow performers.
