Sir Christopher John "Jack" Dewhurst (1920-2006) was a distinguished British gynecologist known for his leadership in obstetrics and gynecology. He served as Professor and Head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School from 1967 to 1985 and was president of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists from 1975 to 1978. A pioneering figure in pediatric and adolescent gynecology, he authored numerous publications and textbooks, and chaired the 1st International Symposium on Gender Identity in 1969.
