Christopher Johnson McCandless was an American adventurer who ventured into the Alaska wilderness with minimal food and gear, hoping to live in isolation for a time. Unfortunately, he was found dead after approximately four months due to poisoning from consuming a toxic plant. His life was immortalized in Jon Krakauer's biography, 'Into the Wild,' which was later adapted into a 2007 film directed by Sean Penn.
