Colin Desmond Cole (1931 – June 1987) was a prominent New Zealand fashion designer active from the 1950s to the 1980s. Born in Rotorua, he began his career as a pattern cutter before opening his own boutique, The Establishment. Known for bespoke dresses and uniforms, Cole's creations were worn by notable figures, including opera singer Kiri Te Kanawa. Influenced by Christian Dior, he focused on personalized service and aimed to bring international fashion truths to New Zealand women. He passed away after heart surgery in 1987.
