Velayuthapillai Baheerathakumar, commonly known as Theepan, was a prominent member of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in Sri Lanka. Born on 8 January 1966, he played a significant role in multiple military successes during the Eelam War III, including major battles in Mullaitivu, Kilinochchi, Oddusuddan, and Elephant Pass. His military leadership was pivotal in the Vanni region. Theepan was killed on 4 April 2009 during the Battle of Ananthapuram, marking the end of his involvement in the Sri Lankan Civil War.
