Cynthia Anita Ackron Baldwin, born on February 8, 1945, is a notable American jurist who served as a justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. She made history as the first African-American woman elected to the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas and the second African-American woman on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. After her retirement in 2008, she became a partner at Duane Morris and the first General Counsel for Penn State University, gaining attention during the child sex abuse scandal, leading to a public reprimand in 2020.
