Daniel Bruce Poneman, born on March 12, 1956, is an American lawyer and businessman. He served as President and CEO of Centrus Energy from 2015 to 2023. Before this, he was the United States Deputy Secretary of Energy from 2009 to 2014 and briefly acted as Secretary of Energy in 2013. Poneman holds positions as a Distinguished Fellow at the Paulson Institute and a Senior Fellow at the Belfer Center at Harvard, contributing to discussions on energy policy and international affairs.
