Dave Aaron was an influential American football and basketball coach, as well as a college athletics administrator. He became the athletic director and head coach for both sports at Austin Peay State College in 1946. Over his career, he led the football team for nine seasons, achieving a record of 44–35–6, and the basketball team for 16 seasons, securing 258 wins. He was educated at Peabody College and served as a lieutenant commander in the Navy during World War II. Aaron was born on April 12, 1911, and passed away on March 26, 1992.
