David Artur Moroder (1931-1997) was an Italian sculptor from a family of craftsmen in Gröden. He worked mainly with wood and bronze and was influenced by his brother Rudolf and artist Augusto Murer. He participated in numerous exhibitions and had both private and public clients. Moroder was also an accomplished luger, winning third place in singles at the 1959 World Championships and second in doubles in 1961.
