Dinesh Schaffter (1 May 1971 – 15 December 2022) was a Sri Lankan businessman, philanthropist, and former first-class cricketer. He held prominent roles as the director of Janashakthi Group PLC and as managing director of First Capital Holdings. Following his death in December 2022, serious speculations arose regarding its circumstances, and in November 2023, a court ruling confirmed that he had been murdered. Dinesh came from a cricketing family, with both his father and brother also having played first-class cricket before pursuing business careers.
