Doncho Karakachanov was a Bulgarian politician affiliated with the Bulgarian Agricultural National Union (BZNS) from 1978 to 1991 and with BZNS 'Alexander Stamboliyski' from 1993 to 1997. He served as a member of the IX National Assembly, the VII Grand National Assembly, and the XXXVII National Assembly. He is the father of the politician Krasimir Karakachanov, who is associated with VMRO-BND.
