Dorothy Ann Malcolm Geddes, OBE, was a pioneering Scottish physician and academic known for her significant contributions to the field of dentistry. She made history as the first woman in the United Kingdom to be appointed to a dental professorship and became the first woman elected as a dean of a dental school at one of the Royal Colleges in the UK. In 1963, she was also the first woman to receive the Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
