Douglas Moncrieff Stanes (1917–2001) was a Manitoba politician and Progressive Conservative member of the Legislative Assembly from 1958 to 1969. A Lieutenant-Colonel, he served in various regions including Southeast Asia and Europe, and was involved in industrial rehabilitation in Greece post-World War II. Stanes was first elected in 1958, defeating the Liberal incumbent, and had subsequent electoral successes but never held a cabinet position. After losing his seat in 1969, he served on the Winnipeg city council until 1977.
