Dragutin Čolić was a Serbian composer, publicist, and pedagogue born on January 26, 1907, in Pozega. He entered the music scene in the 1930s as a member of the 'Prague Group' and studied under Alojz Haba. He taught for nearly four decades at the Music Academy and was active in music criticism. Between 1945 and 1946, he served as a choirmaster, and by 1949, he became part of the expert council of the ensemble 'Kolo.' He also played a vital role in the Association of Composers of Serbia, editing their inaugural member catalog.
