Edith Yde Thomassen was a Danish poet and songwriter born on April 15, 1909, in Aarhus and passed away on May 16, 2003, in Holstebro. She was the daughter of painter Ejnar Christian Rasmussen and Henriette Yde Lehmann. Though she never published her poetry in a single collection, her work appeared in newspapers and magazines, primarily until 1960. She married Alfred Henning Thomassen in 1930.
