Eduard Lorenz (born February 12, 1921) was a German SS-Unterscharführer and a staff member at Auschwitz concentration camp. After joining the SS post the invasion of Czechoslovakia, he was assigned to Auschwitz where he worked as a guard and later as a driver distributing food. Lorenz was prosecuted during the Auschwitz Trial, receiving a 15-year sentence for abusing prisoners but was acquitted of murder. He was released early from prison on December 18, 1955, due to an amnesty.
