Eduardo Alencar, born José Eduardo Mendonça de Alencar on February 19, 1953, in Ruy Barbosa, Brazil, is a Brazilian politician. He served as a city councilor in Simões Filho from 1989 to 1992 and was elected mayor for several terms: 1993-1996, 2001-2004, 2009-2012, and re-elected for 2013-2016. In 2018, he was elected as a state deputy for the term 2019-2023. He is related to notable politicians, being the brother of Otto Alencar and uncle to Otto Alencar Filho.
