Eela Kuusküll, originally named Emilie Rosalie Wiitfeld, was an Estonian publishing figure and translator, born on February 24, 1921, in Vara manor. She became known for her role as an instructor for the ELKNÜ Harjumaa committee in 1941, and served as the head of the political literature department at the Estonian State Publishing House and later at the Eesti Raamat publishing house. Kuusküll was also a member of the Estonian SSR Supreme Council and translated works from Russian to Estonian. She passed away on January 10, 2003.
