Eliahu I. Jury, born on May 23, 1923, in Baghdad, Iraq, is an American engineer. He earned his Ph.D. in engineering sciences from Columbia University in New York City in 1953. Jury served as a professor of electrical engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Miami. He is known for developing the advanced Z-transform used in digital control systems and signal processing. Jury is a Fellow of IEEE and has received multiple awards, including the Rufus Oldenburger Medal from ASME and the IEEE Millennium Medal.
