Emil Gabrielian was an Armenian physician and academic, born on January 31, 1931, in Ashtarak. He graduated from Yerevan Medical Institute in 1954 and became a professor in 1971. Gabrielian served as the rector of Yerevan Medical Institute from 1971 to 1975 and as Armenia's Minister of Health from 1975 to 1989. He significantly contributed to pharmacology and was involved in various scientific committees. Gabrielian published over 420 scientific works, including 17 books, and held several notable positions in medical associations until his death on July 21, 2010, in the USA.
