Éric Cheysson, born in February 1951, is a French vascular surgeon and head of the vascular surgery department at René-Dubos Hospital in Pontoise. He is also the president of the humanitarian organization La Chaîne de l'Espoir, which aims to provide medical care to underprivileged children. A member of the French Academy of Surgery since 2019, he has participated in numerous humanitarian missions across Asia, Africa, and Afghanistan. Cheysson has been influential in various health projects, including hospitals for mothers and children in Kabul.
