Erik Westphal Stephensen is a Danish journalist born on July 24, 1951. He was the director and owner of Skandinavisk Film Kompagni A/S, which was taken over by JP/Politikens Hus in 2009. He has served as the chairman of various film festival foundations in Copenhagen. Having trained as a journalist, he worked at Ekstra Bladet and produced several award-winning documentaries at Danmarks Radio. Later, he played a crucial role in revamping Dagbladet Aktuelt and then returned to television as a director at Nordisk Film TV before founding Skandinavisk Film Kompagni.
