Eva Markvoort (1984-2010) was a Canadian woman from New Westminster, British Columbia, known for her blog '65_Redroses' chronicling her life with cystic fibrosis and her experience with lung transplants. Despite a successful double lung transplant in 2007, she struggled with transplant rejection and passed away at age 25. Markvoort was also named Miss New Westminster in 2002 and received several awards for her commitment to cystic fibrosis awareness. A memorial service for her was held posthumously, attracting worldwide attention.
