F. David Peat was an English physicist born in Liverpool in 1938. He obtained his doctorate in Liverpool and later became a professor at Queen's University in Kingston. He conducted research at the National Research Council of Canada and collaborated with the Science Council of Canada. Peat organized discussions between Native American Elders and Western scientists and produced a series of programs on the history of 20th-century physics for CBC. He founded the Pari Center for New Learning in Italy, authored twenty books, and worked with physicist David Bohm. He passed away on June 6, 2017.
