Fang Xianzhi (February 24, 1906 - June 29, 1968) was a prominent Chinese orthopedic scientist and medical educator, born in Zhuji, Zhejiang. He graduated from Peking Union Medical College in 1933 and later obtained his doctorate from Boston University in 1939. In the 1940s, he was instrumental in founding Tianhe Hospital and Tianjin Orthopedic Hospital. Fang developed a treatment method for oste tuberculosis and contributed to orthopedic techniques, advocating for a combination of Western and traditional Chinese medicine. He is also known for his classification system for bone tumors.
