Fidel Valdez Ramos, commonly known as FVR and Eddie, is a retired Filipino general and politician who served as the 12th President of the Philippines from 1992 to 1998. He is credited with reviving international confidence in the Philippine economy during his presidency. Earlier in his career, he was the chief of the Philippine Constabulary and a prominent military figure. He played a significant role in the 1986 EDSA Revolution, distancing himself from President Marcos and supporting Corazon Aquino's government. At age 91, he is the oldest living former president of the Philippines.
