Foka van Loon, born Aafje Cnossen-Nicolaï on February 20, 1901, in Weerwille, was a Dutch author known for her Christian regional novels set mainly in Drenthe. She moved to Zuidwolde at a young age and became involved in education. Van Loon began writing short stories during her marriage, with her debut novel published in 1940. Over her lifetime, she authored around 30 books. She married Sjirk Cnossen in 1930, remained widowed in 1958, and passed away at the age of 94 on November 9, 1995, in Hilversum, being buried in Sint Maarten.
