Franz Anton Josef Kerber (February 25, 1901 – between April and September 4, 1945) was the mayor of Freiburg from 1933 to 1945. He participated in the Freikorps Oberland and studied economics, obtaining his diploma. He joined the NSDAP in 1930, becoming a prominent party leader. Kerber's tenure ended with Freiburg's occupation by French troops in April 1945, after which he was interned by the French military authorities and was found shot in a forest near Freiburg later that year.
