Gerald Sedgewick Wilkinson (1926-1988) was a British illustrator, art historian, naturalist, photographer, artist, and book designer. He was renowned for his works about J. M. W. Turner's sketches and British trees and woodlands. His notable contributions include the 1978 monograph 'Epitaph for the Elm,' which was the first book published in the UK focused on the genus Ulmus, aimed at general readers and richly illustrated in color.
